With the release of iOS11, Apple integrated the modern picture format High Efficiency Image Codex as the new standard format for photos into the iPhone and replacing the aging JPG format. The High Efficiency Image File Format short HEIC format is smaller than JPG and still has a better quality. In addition, several photos can be saved in a HEIC file. Unfortunately, there are currently only few Windows programs that support HEIF and HEIC and many users still want to use JPG instead of High Efficiency Images on the Windows computer. The iDevice Manager offers a converter to convert High Efficiency Images lossless into JPG files.
