With the release of iOS11, Apple integrated the modern High Efficiency Image File Format as the new standard format for photos into the iPhone and replacing the aging JPG format. The High Efficiency Image File Format short HEIF and called Apple HEIC is smaller than JPG and still has a better quality. In addition, several photos can be saved in a HEIC file. Unfortunately, there are currently only few Windows programs that support HEIF and HEIC and many users still want to use JPG instead of HEIF on the Windows computer. The iDevice Manager offers a converter to convert HEIF and HEIC lossless into JPG files.
